A remarkable 2 and 1/2 year-old Ankole-Watusi steer with a striking brown-and-white coat, an easygoing personality, and the kind of impressive horns that stop people in their tracks. Known for their majestic appearance and commonly seen in zoos and wildlife parks, Ankole-Watusi cattle are truly unique—and Bruce is no exception.

Bruce has been raised as a beloved companion since he was a calf. As a youngster, he made visits to nursing homes, bringing smiles and comfort to residents everywhere he went. For the last year and a half, he has been a favorite attraction at children’s camps, where he has safely given rides to countless kids and created memories they’ll never forget.

That’s right—Bruce is broke to ride!

He has been ridden through town, around farms, and has confidently handled everything from passing traffic to the sirens of fire trucks. Whether it’s a trip to the local grocery store or a stop through the Starbucks drive-thru, Bruce draws a crowd and leaves a lasting impression wherever he goes. We’ve ridden him with a saddle and even done some light trotting, though Bruce’s favorite pace is a relaxed walk, making him the perfect mount for leisurely “Watusi rides.”

Bruce has been exposed to just about everything. He’s had countless children pet, brush, and ride him bareback around the farm. He stands quietly tied for grooming, enjoys attention, and genuinely loves being around people. He turns out peacefully with horses and other cattle and has a calm, laid-back disposition that makes him a pleasure to handle. He’s even carried the American flag with confidence and pride.
