Gideon is a stunning 6-year-old Registered Gypsy Vanner gelding standing a perfect 12.2 hands. His striking black-and-white tobiano coat, abundant feathering, thick flowing mane and tail, compact build, and adorable baby-doll face makes him look like he stepped straight out of a Breyer package.

While his looks are enough to stop traffic, it’s his personality and talent that truly set him apart.

Gideon is a complete gentleman both under saddle and on the ground. He has impeccable manners and is a pleasure to be around. He stands quietly tied for grooming, bathing, tacking up, mounting, and dismounting. He genuinely enjoys attention and absolutely adores children. Gideon has had kids climb all over him and happily soaks up every minute of the affection.

Under saddle, Gideon is as enjoyable as they come. He confidently walks, trots, and canters with smooth, flowing movement that makes him comfortable and easy to ride. He knows both leads, has a soft mouth, responds nicely to seat and leg cues, and even offers the cutest flying lead changes you’ll ever see. His brakes are excellent, making him a confidence-builder for riders of many experience levels.

Gideon rides beautifully both Western and English. He confidently jumps full courses and maintains a steady, rhythmic canter that makes finding distances to fences feel effortless. New jumps, colorful fillers, and unfamiliar obstacles don’t bother him in the slightest. He is forgiving of rider mistakes, patient with unbalanced riders, and always willing to do his job.

On the trails, Gideon is just as impressive. He is a willing and trustworthy partner who enjoys exploring new places. Whether riding alone or with a group, he remains calm, confident, and dependable. Water crossings, logs, large rocks, puddles, hills, wildlife, and unfamiliar surroundings don’t phase him. He has been hauled throughout the Midwest and has logged miles upon miles of trail riding experience.

Gideon is also broke to drive and does an exceptional job between the shafts. His versatility is truly remarkable. Whether you want a trail pony, driving partner, lesson pony, jumper, family horse, or simply a best friend, Gideon is ready to excel.
